There are all sorts of stressors that can creep on us during the holidays but one thing I didn’t see coming was a visit from the vicious flu fairy this week. It laid me flat out for the past few days and so I apologize for this shortened newsletter.

I planned to tell you all about the Black Spanish turkey and how I discovered I could actually order a jenny, not a tom but I’ll talk turkey more in a future newsletter as soon as I can get out of bed! I just hope this week’s menu gives you one less thing to worry about as we ease ourselves into the holidays.

The good news is that the kick-off to the season usually begins with that healthy white meat, turkey (my own trot with the turkey is postponed until next week). And this week’s meal plan takes it one step further with a classic reminder of how to turn those leftovers into a nutrient-packed, filling lunch.

You’ll still find a few seasonally-appropriate extra recipes in the menu PDF besides the meal plan I promised you (mostly because I just can’t help myself) so that you don’t have to go hunting around for them.
